| Message: | Someone else removed the boom before my Manta 'Ronella' went ashore for antifouling, and now I can't fathom out how to refit it. In case the gooseneck fittings are different in different boats, or has been changed in mine, there's a sliding 'box' on the mast into which the pin fitting on the boom is inserted - only it's not as simple as that. There seems to be a spring arrangement which holds the grooved pin in place but I have tried and failed to get it to work. Help! |
