Bilge Keels / Centreboard 3Thu 12 Nov 2015 23:09:26
Richardm Richardm Tue 29 Oct 2013 23:27:43 I have been told that the centreboard is not designed to be dropped on the Bilge Keel version. Is this correct ?

I have the bilge keel version and the centreboard is just as the single keel.
In fact, the bilge keel is not a bilge keel at all, as the side keels are not ballasted. It is more a single keel plus legs, I guess added as an afterthought for the British East Coast creek crawlers.
Sometime I am going to remove them as they just add wetted surface (=less speed and more expensive anti-foul paint).

Could anyone send me the plan dimensions of the bilge keels, the design of, materials used etc and if possible photos of attachment points under the quarter berth? I would be most grateful to anyone who can.
