Cynara comfortable on her legs in Mannin, Connemara in the West of Ireland in 2007.

On trolley at Carlingford Harbour

This went well except the rope hadn't enough reach to ease the trolley from the trailer into the water so we had to let go and the boat launched herself - dramatic but quite under control. This became our standard way of launching!

Putting the trolley away

Trolley's job is done. Cynara is alongside Carlingford Harbour south quay. King John's Castle is in the background.

Carlingford Lough - Greer's Quay

The harbour close to where my mother ws born in 1904. It is along an abandoned railway track (Dundalk, Greenore and Newry Railway) and was used amongst other things as a coal harbour. The coal was collected in carts by the locals.

Fiona tidying up

All has to be ship-shape-and-Bristol-fashion below and above decks once Fiona comes aboard. Here she's handing out dishes to be dried. We hop to it!

Carlingford Lough: Rostrevor

We took the ground at low tide in Rostrevor Harbour. With a few inches of water we could push ourselves out.

Carlingford Lough - Warrenpoint

This pontoon is provided each Summer and is very convenient for the town centre. Warrenpoint is a lovely town and has some good restaurants. It has beautiful views of both the Cooley and Mourne Mountains.
